Amazing Photographs: homeless people by Lee Jeffries

These strikingly beautiful black and white photographs by Lee Jeffries are taking the sufferance, harshness and wrinkled faces of homeless people onto our screen.

Many years ago I use to own a restaurant and every night I would give left over food to a few homeless people. Over the years I got to know them, and I was amazed to find out how each one of them had a dramatic event in his or her life that put them on the streets. Before getting to know these homeless people, I had never thought that most of them had a ‘normal’ life..like you and me…with a job, kids…and a home.

These amazing photographs are the result of a similar experience that Jeffries went through. The photographer started his career as a sports photographer. By chance he met a homeless girl who lived in the streets of London and this encounter changed his life. This is the visual result of his encounter.

    1. In every photo - whole life of those people... Each face is someone's destiny. And what are their eyes! ... Impossible to remain indifferent, looking at those faces
