Wolf Messing - a mysterious man of the past century

Wolf Messing - a mysterious man of the past century, whose phenomenon is still not solved. Einstein and Freud, Hitler and Stalin tried to guess the riddle. Each of them had some trace of life in Messing.

The fate of Wolf Messing is amazing, as well as his talent. He was born September 10, 1899, in a Jewish family in the town of Gore-Kalevariya near Warsaw. His family was a religious fanatic. His father was very strict with their children (except Wolf parents had three sons), and therefore, seeing his son a good memory and ability to study the Talmud, determined to send him to the rabbis. However, little Wolf refused, and the father resorted to a ruse: he hired a stroller for a little play, the only spectator who was psychic future. Beggar played the role of "messenger of Heaven," down to earth and who asked to go to Wolf's clergy. Exalted the boy immediately gave his consent. In a special school, prepared the spiritual ministers, Wolf studied for two years, and there was a case which changed his own life, and our idea of telepathy as a whole.

Once in the house of prayer, where Wolf lived at the time, accidentally stopped the same pilgrim - "messenger of Heaven" - which in the name of the Lord God, instructing the boy on the way to serve God. Shock, which at that time felt Wolf was not comparable to anything else. He decided to quit school, but did not want to go back to his father cheated. With no money for the ticket, he went to the nearest railway station, got into the first train and got under the bench. As it turned out, the train was going to Berlin. That's when he learned first time, that have certain abilities!
The conductor saw the teenager, who was hiding under a bench, and demanded his ticket. His nerves were on edge. He fumbled beside him, grabbed a piece of paper and handed it to the conductor, wishing with all his heart not to be thrown out of the train. Their eyes met ... The conductor took the paper, turned it over in his hands, then punched and handed back Wolf "tickets", saying: "Why did you go with a ticket - and under the bench going? There are also places ... After two hours, will be in Berlin ..."

So, in a moment of maximum emotional stress, first appeared Messing ability to suggestion.

In Berlin, Wolff settled a messenger in the home visitors, he wore the stuff, bags, washing dishes, cleaning shoes. These were difficult times, he's always hungry, so as to earn very little. Again, all decided the case. One day the boy fell into a swoon hungry on the street, he was taken to hospital and pronounced dead, as the pulse and respiration were not. But in the morgue, by chance, a student noticed that the boy's heart still beating! Professor Abel brought the boy to consciousness on the third day. Abel was a talented psychiatrist and neurologist, who enjoyed popularity in their circles. He explained to Wolf that he was in a state of lethargy caused by anemia, exhaustion, nervous breakdown. Abel, to his surprise, also discovered that Wolf is able to completely control his body and called it "an amazing medium."

Abel began to experiment with Messing, and then introduced the first in his life impresario. He immediately gave Messing in Berlin waxworks. Weekly on Friday morning before the gates opened up a freak show, Wolf went into a crystal coffin, and brought himself into cataleptic state. In this state, within three days - from morning till night - he had to lie still committed. In appearance Messing could not be distinguished from the dead. For this work he was paid five marks a day - it was a lot of money for him at that time.

In his spare time messing coached his unique ability - he began to fully understand the mental disposition, the choir "sound" in his mind the thoughts of others, he learned how to allocate exactly the "voice" that he needed to hear. Two years later, he began performing in vaudeville, learning at this time do not feel pain. With this in the first part he pricked with needles breast through needle neck, and in the second he was looking for jewelry (of course, false), which previously were distributed to visitors. Visitors must have been hiding jewelry, where they wanted, but they should not remove them from the hall. Then Wolf went from table to table and asked the ladies and gentlemen to return a specific gem to him, calling the place where it's hidden.

When Wolff was 16 years old, he went on tour with his own program of psychological experiments. In Vienna, Albert Einstein became interested in him, and invited Messing to his home. There Wolff met with Sigmund Freud, who suggested a little experiment. He began to give mental orders to Messing. It was as follows: Messing, must go to the dressing-table, take the tweezers, and back to Einstein ... pluck three hairs from his magnificent mustache. Taking a pair of tweezers, Messing went to the great scientist, apologized, told him what Freud wants from him. Einstein smiled and allowed to fulfill the desire of Freud
In 23 years, called the Polish Army, Messing won an audience with the ruler of Poland Jozef Pilsudski. "Head of State" - incidentally, it was his official title in those years - was very superstitious, he was involved in spiritualism and loved "happy" number thirteen. Messing fulfilled his request. But he kept the secret nature of the request.

Upon completion of military service, Wolf Messing returned to the psychological experiences and made many tours in various European cities: Paris, London, Rome, Berlin, Stockholm, Riga. In Riga he was made a unique experiment: he rode through the streets by car, sitting in the driver's seat. His eyes were tightly with fastened with black cloth, lay hands on the handlebars, the feet were standing on the pedals. The driver was sitting next to him mentally and dictated what it was necessary to do so. This experience, delivered in front of thousands of spectators was very interesting, because before that Messing had no experience of driving. By the way, after this experience, he never more drove a car.

Messing became more famous. Different people turned to him with a variety of requests. One day, Count Czartoryski (representative of the famous and wealthy family in Poland) invited him to his old ancestral castle. They have lost an old diamond brooch, which passed down from generation to generation. They did not have any suspicion against someone else. A stranger almost could not go to the well-guarded castle. On the other hand, the count was confident about the honesty of his numerous servants. Private Detectives only shrug.
Messing listened to the thoughts of all the servants, and was convinced that they are all honest people. And only about one boy, he could not say anything definite ... medium could not read his thoughts. It was half-witted boy of eleven, the son of one of the servants. Even if he committed a theft, then, without any intent, totally uncomprehended. Messing decided on a little experiment: he left his gold watch in a prominent place in the presence of a boy and came out the door, watched for him. The boy played with  watch  for a while and then went to a giant stuffed bear, standing in the corner and sent the watch in a widely open mouth of the beast. When theu cut open a stuffed, there where many thibgs: gold-plated spoons, Christmas decorations, and, most importantly, a brooch!
Instead of a fabulous prize (250 thousand PLN)  for that, Messing turned to the Count with a request to influence the Polish Parliament, so that was canceled shortly before the Polish government adopted a decree prejudicing the rights of Jews. Two weeks later, the decree was revoked.

With the increase of glory, a lot of people are turning to Messing. Great medium could determine whether a person is alive, how is his case... only with the things that belonged to this person. But sometimes it happened a misunderstanding. One day a woman came to him with a letter from her son. Messing, after reading a few lines, confidently said that the man who wrote the letter is dead. Distraught with grief the woman was gone. However, after six weeks Messing called a charlatan, as the young man was alive. The answer was simple: the letter was written from dictation, - son of the woman could not write himself, and asked him to write a letter to a neighbor in the ward, who a few days later he died suddenly ... So once again the great psychic was right. He told the woman just this: the person who wrote this letter is dead.

In addition to the fates of ordinary people, Messing predicted the fate of the rulers. Speaking at a theater in Warsaw in 1937, in the presence of thousands of people, he predicted the death of Hitler, if he will turn to the east. Hitler learned of this prophecy, as it was printed on the front page in many Polish newspapers. For this, Hitler praised head Messing 200 000 marks. When German troops marched into Poland, a hunt was announced at Messing, and once he was captured. Immediately after his arrest, he was thrown into solitary confinement. Even there Messing was able to use his gift. He made all the police officers who were in building at that time to gather in his cell. All employees, including the chief, and even hourly, in obedience to the will of Messing, met him in the chamber. He quickly got out of bed, went into the hall, shot the bolt of iron door and quietly went away.

He quickly got out of bed, went into the hall, shot the bolt the door and quietly went away.

Messing decided to flee to the Soviet Union. The first time it was not easy out there. He did not know anyone, did not speak in Russian, and people with psychic abilities are viewed with suspicion. But Messing was accepted into the team of artists, serving the Brest region. Once again, the fate of the medium there was a meeting who changed his life. On tour two men in uniform caps interrupted speech and took Messing with them. As it turned out, he was taken to Stalin.

To test his ability, they gave the job to get Messing 100 000 rubles in the State Bank on a clean piece of paper. He went to the cashier handed him torn from a school notebook paper. The cashier looked at the paper, opened the cash register and counted out a hundred thousand ... For Messing it was not difficult. Once in his childhood, he had already done it with railway ticket.

Some time later, he repeated one more experience: managed to get out of the building on Lubyanka, bypassing all the posts, even though that had been ordered not to release Messing of the building.

Once Messing was invited to demonstrate his psychological experiments in a very sinister place - the club of the NKVD in Moscow, where, among innocuous requests to find a hidden object, came a note with asking, "What do you think of the Soviet-German pact (Here mean non-aggression pact between Germany and the USSR signed some time before.)?".

Hall measurement, because at that time for such a question anyone could easily be among the "enemies of the people." However, Wolf Messing, not having time to think about the consequences, immediately sounded the picture that he saw the mind's eye: "I see tanks with red stars on the streets of Berlin". People, who sitting near the exit, started quietly sneak to the door ...

But it was not touched then. It is said that Stalin had ordered not to touch Messing. Soon after, Germany invaded the Soviet Union and then remembered the prediction of Wolf Messing. He began to speak again, traveling to different cities. In 1943, in the midst of war, Messing appeared on the stage of the Novosibirsk Opera House. Among others, he handed a note asking, "When the war ends?" Messing barely read the phrase, it happened the same thing a few years ago in the club of the NKVD, he saw the picture, and he clearly "saw" the date - "8 May". "Year" he has not seen.

During the war, Messing worked very hard, played in the shops of plants, sometimes in the open air. He received a good fee, but all their money messing about a two-handed combat aircraft: the first - in 1942, the second - in 1944

Throughout his life Wolf Messing virtually nothing gained. In general, over the years he has been more skeptical attitude toward the world. Nothing pleased him not already ... he increasingly withdraws into himself. Especially this was encouraged by the death of his beloved wife, with whom he lived for fifteen years and was very happy. Even the date of her death, he knew in advance. The date of his death, too. His last performance took place in Moscow in the cinema "October" in 1974. That evening, Wolf Messing was, as they say, "strike" - all speech held amid stormy applause.
Soon Wolf Messing died ...
