Overseas berry - eggplant!

The eggplant's   homeland - the fruit of unusual purple - is India where it grew wild in ancient times, but more than fifteen hundred years, as a domesticated eggplant.

And it is correct to call it not a vegetable, but the berries. Usually oval in shape and eggplant purple, but sometimes yellow or purple hue, and may even be striped. The best taste in blue-black oblong slightly unripe fruit. Usually in such eggplant seeds few, but they taste more tender and more useful. Eggplant is not eaten raw, usually it stew or roast.

Eggplant - low-fat product contains B vitamins, vitamin C, PP and carotene, as well as the body needs such minerals as potassium, iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium and phosphorus. Eggplant prevent the body absorb cholesterol. These fruits are very useful for older people, they are good in the treatment and prevention of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, accompanied by edema.
