Funeral kimono version

Why is one of the frames of the film "Lost in Translation," a Japanese woman may be considered dead?

Japanese kimono to wear so that the left was the floor above, right. Conversely plowed kimono only when they bury the person. In the movie "Lost in Translation," when Bob first met with Charlotte in the elevator, one Japanese woman standing in this "funeral" version of a kimono. Most likely, this error is not the producers, who advised the real Japanese, and installers of the film, for some reason, display this frame mirror.
